About Jennifer:

Hi, I’m Jennifer Salvina and I currently reside in Owensboro, Kentucky. I am a native of Ohio and received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I went on to Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky and obtained my Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2010. The primary focus of my career has been working with adults in Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF). I have worked at a total of 4 different ICFs in Ohio and across Kentucky working with clients of varying types and intensities of challenging behaviors. I have also worked in community-based behavior supports through waiver and insurance both in home and clinic settings but my passion has always been working with adults in the ICF setting.

I am currently the Director of Behavior Services at Wendell Foster a private ICF located in Owensboro. I have had the pleasure of working with the clients there for almost 5 years. I enjoy being able to provide oversight and share my knowledge with the RBTs I work with as well as those future BCBAs I get to provide supervision too.

One of my proudest accomplishments is my son Lucas. He is in middle school and is 12 years old. We stay busy with Boy Scouts, 4-H, Taekwondo and being active members in our Catholic Church, Blessed Mother, where I teach Religious education class and assist as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. I would describe myself as someone who likes to learn and explore while advancing myself.

Why I'm interested in being KYABA's President Elect:

I have been around and involved in KYABA in many different ways over the course of my time as a BCBA. I remember sitting in that hotel room in San Antonio at my first ABAI as a simple graduate student thinking to myself what have I gotten into. So many great Behavior Analyst were in that room with such fire and drive to expand behavior analysis in the state of Kentucky. I feel like it is my time to step up and help where I can. I want to be a positive influence for the newer generation of BCBAs in Kentucky just as I had when I was first starting out. I may not know every answer or everything but I know that I have the work ethic and determination to be a great leader. So I am hopeful that you will allow me to be president elect of KYABA.
